Western Alzheimer’s

Western Alzheimers provide a complete service of care to families affected by dementia in the Western Region of Ireland.  They offer Long stay Residential Care, Respite Care, In Home Care, Day Care in the community.  Funding is generated through its own fundraising activities, and philanthropic contributions. 

Last  year, Galway Salthill Rotary Club, designated Western Alzheimers as the principle charity for its Christmas Collection.   They have secured a site to build a 28 bedroom facility at Merlin park Galway, to augment the facilities it has in Marian House,Ballindine Co. Mayo, and Maryfield in Athenry Co.Galway .  An amount in excess of €9500 was raised and donated by Galway Salthill Rotary Club to Western Alzheimers.  It is envisaged that Western Alzheimers will continue to remain with Galway Salthill Rotary Club as one of the charities which our members will contribute their fundraising activities during 2009.
